Owensboro Catholic Radio Needs Your Help!
Like all Catholic radio stations around the country, Owensboro Catholic Radio is a listener supported, non profit radio station. We operate on a shoe-string budget. Therefore, the help of volunteers like you will determine the future success of Catholic Radio in the Owensboro community.
Here are some ways that you can help:
1. Participate in our yard sign advertising blitz. May we put a sign in your yard? Periodically, throughout the year, we will put yard signs up throughout the Owensboro community to remind our listeners that we are still there. Usually, the yard sign blitz will last only a few weeks. Also, we will need volunteers to help in putting up the signs and taking them down.
2. We need parish liaisons to provide a steady stream of communication between Owensboro Catholic Radio and the parishes of Owensboro. We need to let people know where they can find us on the radio dial, and what we are doing around the city. We need someone at each parish to inform us of what is going on at the parish level and how we can help each other.
3. Periodically, we will do direct mail services that require some effort to stuff envelopes and other office type duties. This sounds like a small thing, but remember everyone at Owensboro Catholic Radio is a volunteer and these type of projects require some time.
4. Do you have any knowledge of the radio business? We are always looking for help in this area.
If you have a heart for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through media, please email us to introduce yourself and let us know how you would like to volunteer. We will call or email you and set up a time to meet and show you how WIMM operates. If you would like to become one of our helpful volunteers, we have much work that needs to be done.
Thank you for prayerfully considering volunteering for Owensboro’s Catholic Radio station, 107.7 FM, WIMM.
