What is included in the Radiothon Broadcast?
- The broadcasts will include interviews with Bishops from all over the US such as Archbishop Naumann of Kansas City, Archbishop Lucas of Omaha, Bishop Sheridan of Colorodo Springs, and many others including our own Bishop William Medley of Owensboro!
- There will be interviews with some of our most distinguished clergyman including Fr. Frank Pavone, Fr. Benedict Groeschel, Fr. Vincent Serpa as well as our own Fr. Gerald Baker of St. Anne’s in Morganfield and Fr. Joe Mills of Owensboro!
- We will also have visits from a who’s who of Catholic radio personalities including Steve Ray, Johnnette Benkovic, Dr. Ray Guarendi, Russell Shaw, Patrick Madrid, Teresa Tomeo and dozens more!
Why should you support Owensboro Catholic Radio, WIMM, during the radiothon?
- The proceeds of the 2011 broadcast will be applied to the construction costs of a new radio tower to be built at the Carmel Home. This new tower will DOUBLE the potential listening audience of the WIMM and will make the WIMM signal as strong as any commercial signal in the city of Owensboro.
- Owensboro Catholic Radio is a listener supported nonprofit Catholic radio station which serves the community of Owensboro. In concert with the EWTN Global Catholic Network, our goal is to broadcast the beauty and teachings of the Catholic Faith and to inform, inspire and challenge listeners so that all who hear it may be brought into the Kingdom of God.
